Kayak courses
Freestyle
Learn the dark arts of playing with waves and stoppers: ripping blunts, cartwheels, spins... Or even just catching the dream wave!
My philosophy is all about learning to use the natural power of the water, achieving your goals by having an intimate understanding of the water and a clear feeling of the movement you want to perform, being in the right place at the right time!
Here I can give clear explanations and demonstrations of the moves and provide you with a structured, step by step path to learning the moves yourself. Using video review to help you understand the feedback and to help you understand how you can help yourself; giving you a solid foundation to progress further.

White-water progression
Here you can learn everything you need - to make the next step in river running... Finding the green line, crucial boof, using the water effectively or getting through a nasty stopper safely!!
There is something for everybody from seasoned veterans to those still looking to find their water wings! With river paddling, planning is as important as action. Looking at potentially tricky/dangerous sections of rivers, planning the best line based on your knowledge of your capabilities and of your understanding of the water; then, linking the two together and making the crucial decision - do you get in your boat, or walk around?? Doing this well comes from confidence, experience and knowing yourself inside and out. Being able to make these ‘judgement calls’ well, will make river paddling much safer than any amount of throwbags and karabiners could!
In this course we look at exactly that, discussing and deciding on the bank what line to paddle and how, then paddling the line, then analysing the result, assessing your feelings, assessing the video review, identifying problems and finally finding the appropriate solutions...
All this of course whilst paddling an awesome River/creek, in a beautiful place and having a wicked time!

River Guiding
Whether you need a guide for 1 day or 1 week, for WW I or WW Impossible, here you can make the most of 22 years of experience on rivers all over the world in helping you paddle your dream river or just having a fun safe day out.
Guiding is not being led down a river! Rather it’s an ongoing learning process that helps make the most of the time you have in the boat!
Be sure there are some rivers in Tirol that you have never heard of!!

White-water Safety and Rescue
With sound judgement and adequate experience you can put yourself or another person in the right place at the right time. Prevention is better than cure! Remember when the laws of both ‘Murphy’ and probability apply, you need to be prepared for the worst case (If not for yourself, than for your friends and others around you) ‘What can go wrong, will go wrong’ –sooner or later!
Beginner/First steps
However you would prefer to take them, the first steps are the most crucial. What you learn or experience at the beginning echoes throughout your development.
Learn the basics well and develop a solid foundation, and experience the alluring thrill of being on open water in beautiful surroundings. This is a super way to spend a summer afternoon with friends, escaping the heat, and sharing a fun and new learning experience!
Courses can be designed to suit whatever your individual or group needs require.
