Canyoning

Canyoning combines the opportunity of seeing and being in a truly amazing aspect of nature with an active and refreshing adventure sport.

Canyons are an atypical beauty not seen in passing, or on the way wandering around the mountains. Through being practically inaccessible they have held their secrets and maintained their beauty...

You can be guided through a canyon of your choice. All canyons vary in style and difficulty, the choice dependent upon your requirements...

What is canyoning...?

An adventurous journey through a canyon, demanding the use of thrilling, diverse techniques...

Abseiling

Descending a rope over a cliff/waterfall with the aid of a harness and friction device

Due to the nature of most canyons, abseiling is a necessity. Although some canyons have few abseils, others are centred around long exposed abseils!

Jumping

Leaping down a waterfall into a deep pool

Jumping can be one of the most enjoyable aspects of canyoning, but never an obligation. If you don’t want to jump you can always abseil.

Sliding

Sliding on your bum down a waterfall or slide

It is often in canyons that beautiful curved channels in the rock are formed, making what looks like a waterslide only natural and miles better!

Walking/Scrambling

Due to the terrain in canyons, walking, scrambling and climbing is always necessary. This is always determined by the person; where some walk normally, some might go on all four’s! Where it is safe to climb you might decide to abseil... What is important is that the choice is yours!

How much experience do I need to have and/or how physically fit do I need to be?

This is a question often asked. A basic fitness and mobility are required but we choose the most suitable Canyon for you. The Canyons range enormously in how physically exerting they are and how technically difficult they are. We have the experience to choose the Canyon to suit your needs, allowing you the thrill and excitement without being out of your depth.
